Call For Innovation!
Climate Innovation Acceleration (CIA) encompasses a suite of programs that facilitate the connection between climate talents and potential innovations, driving the acceleration of impactful solutions to address climate challenges on a large scale. Accelerated by HSBC Indonesia, Ecoxyztem, and Greeneration Foundation, the collateral efforts arising from program awareness and solutions actively contribute to bolstering Indonesia's pursuit of its Enhanced Nationally Determined Contribution (ENDC) target by 2030.
Objectives
Climate Awareness
To educate and raise awareness of young generation toward climate issues and ESG
Green Jobs Opportunity
To connect talents with the innovations in reducing GHG emission and unlock green jobs opportunities
Climate Impact
To accelerate and escalate the impact of climate innovation in addressing 2030 target
Challenge Areas
Sustainable Transport & Renewable Energy
Transportation and energy are two things that are always connected. The most human GHG-generating activity is from transporting and creating energy. Now we should think about how to enable responsible transport with high efficiency and low greenhouse gas emissions. as well as empowering renewable energy uses and the ecosystem that supports them. Examples:
EV retrofitting for vehicles
Low GHG shipping
Practical renewable energy
Smart energy management and storage
Circular Economy & Responsible Resource Uses
Clean water, food, and land availability keep decreasing and at the same time, waste never stops being produced by humans. Circularity, waste management, and new/alternative solutions for resources are the keys to solving this problem.
Alternative foods + proteins
Vertical/Urban Farming
Agriculture, biotech, and natural solution
Waste management
Circular economy
Resilience in Built Environment and Sustainable Industry Transition
Climate Change Management, Reporting, and Financing
Fast, monotonous, and exploited resource uses and processes in order to have the same output in a process have been proven as an unsustainable way to live. Restoring resilience is also key to surviving climate change. How we live with low entropy is important for the next decade.
Energy efficiency
Sustainable building
Zero-un off technology
Rapid growth in climate change urgency to be solved has pushed us to build the infrastructure for climate change management and reporting, so we can support solutions, policies, and investment in climate change solutions easily and directly. Additionally, carbon taxing and trade as a global agreement to reduce carbon emissions is something new and needs to be considered together.
Funding for green project
Carbon trade
Carbon capture and storage
